You are probably receiving a lot of information about possible work from home jobs. I have been in your shoes and have spent many hours online researching and trying to find the right one. The one thing that I ended up figuring out is that there are no true work from home "jobs." In a work from home job you usually start out working for a company and then for whatever reason, sometimes, the company will let you take your job home; thus work from home job.

However, there are many work from home “opportunities.” These opportunities provide you with the vehicle to work from home and build your own business. The difficult or frustrating part about finding the right opportunity is that there are many offers that are not legitimate, but scams. Theses scams make it difficult for the companies that truly offer a legitimate opportunity to work from home. Usually, work from home opportunities have a small investment to start your own business. These are okay as long as they are around $100, anything much more than that and I would stay away. Also if they require a monthly overhead to run the business it should include things like your websites, training, back office system, and support. Remember any business that you start and want to continue (whether it’s retail, restaurant, or home-based) will always have start up costs and monthly expenses.

I am a stay at home mother of 2 (ages 4 and 2). My husband works 6 days a week and I do not have much help in the area of child care for my children. On my journey to finding the right work from home opportunity I tried everything from selling vitamins, lotions and many other product based companies. I also looked into processing information online. What I realized with all these companies is that I usually put more money back into my business and ended up with lots of product I really did not need. I also was very skeptical of some of those online work from home websites that really never got to the point of what I would be doing to earn income.

Finally, I was given information on a legitimate work from home company. At first I was very skeptical and paid no attention to the information. Then one day my mother needed to have some dental work done but had no insurance. I remembered that I had some information on discount dental plans. Once I researched the information I had been given, I realized that I could provide my mother with a way to pay less for her procedure and earn an income for signing her onto the discount dental plan. I have been with the company since and am on the fast track toward building a residual income.

I work 15 hours a week (give or take a few) for a National Discount Medical Benefits Company. The company has been in business for over 16 years and is continuing to expand! We have been featured on "60 minutes", "The New York Times", "Wall Street Journal", "Time Magazine", and "American Medical Review" as one of the most reputable, legitimate home based companies. We are members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Dental Plans and the owner of the company sits on the board of The Consumer Health Alliance, which we are also a part of their membership.

Our company addresses the number one problem in US, which is that 70% of Americans can't afford or can't get health insurance for whatever reason. We are an alternative for people who are suffering with their health because of this issue. Now to work for our company you don't have to know everything there is to know about Health Care. Our company will train you on how to communicate our services to those who need it. We have over 2 million members that use our plans and save money on their health care.

When you work for the company you are able to set your own hours and build a residual income while you work. Because we get paid month after month, year after year for the work we do our income is always increasing and we get paid even when we don’t work. The company also does not enforce a monthly quota, which was important to me. I wanted to have the flexibility to work when I wanted and how much I wanted. Of course the more you put into your business the more income you will receive.

Some of the benefits we offer are 401k, direct deposit, life insurance and a family benefit package for your entire household. The next best thing is there is no cold calling, telemarketing, stocking of inventory, collecting of payments, and no home parties! This was very important to me as I had the child care issue to deal with and wanted to be able to stay home and work without having to leave my house.

Another great thing about our company is that we all work together to as a team. We are not out to compete with our fellow representatives. Whenever I need advice my team is there to help me to be a success. This was also very important as I was new to the business and wanted the team support you get working a 9-5 job without having to work the 9-5 job. I have also made many friends along the way and still have the interaction with adults while taking care of my children at home.

I guess I could go on and on about what we do and how we get paid, but the best thing for you to do is research the company for yourself and determine if it is right for you.

That's a great question. There are a lot of opportunities online for people to make a little extra money these days. I personally run a home based business and have done a little of everything under the sun since it was started.

You may consider things like working as a virtual assistant for webmasters, running your own blog, freelance work(writing-coding), selling on Ebay.com and so on. None of these options would require any sort of investment to get yourself started.

Since you would also be interested in working offline as well, here are some job ideas I have done or come up with in the past:

Professional Dog Walker
Picking-up and Delivering groceries for elderly
House/office cleaning
In home computer repair(if you know how)
Yard work/mowing/etc.

Really, it comes down to your interests. Sit down and figure out what you enjoy doing, and then you can come up with a way to include that into your business plan. For instance, lets say you love selling on Ebay but don't have the money to buy merchandise. You could begin selling unwanted items for neighbors, family and friends to build up a reputation and then open your service to anyone interested.

Another example would be, lets say you enjoy working with elderly and disabled people. So you advertise your services in the local newspaper, that says you can deliver groceries, help around the house, read the morning paper to them, run to the store and so on. Now you can accept as many clients as your current schedule will allow for and you are running a home business.

Like I said earlier, the possibilities are endless, limited only by your imagination and interests. The other day I found a site that may help you out with some more options. They have got a huge list of 101 Ways to make money online as well as a great list of home business ideas, the links are below.

Hopefully all of this helped, good luck on your new ventures.

I think Jill is miss informed. I know so many people that have their own home based business and make an incredible amount of money. A agree with Val and bizmom!

I don't think a home based business or even a traditional business (working outside the home) would be right for you if your not willing to put an investment in. What your looking for then is an ordinary minimum wage job. Any business that your going to start up or get involved in is going to cost you some sort of cost. Depending on what you want to do would depend on the cost. If your not willing to invest in something, then your not willing to be a real business owner. Business's cost money to start.
If you are willing to invest something, there are quite a few home based business's that cost under $500. Depending on what you want to do would depend on how much it would cost. Since I don't know what you like doing besides working on the PC, it's difficult to know where to point you out to minimal investment cost business's, so I can only tell you what my husband and I started over six years ago. It well supports our family as well as a major funding source for our non-profit organization that we started up a while back with part of the income we earned. As well as it's a funding source for other non-profit organizations.
Anyhow, we got involved in the telecommunications industry.
With a world wide company that's over 15 years old. We've been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway, but now they can have a lower cost. Services such as local and long distance phones, Internet, digital phones, video phones (you can see the person your taking to live)VOIP, Satallite tv, and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Nextell etc. have partnered up with them too.
How many people do you know, or know of, that uses or has one or more of these services? How would you feel if you could save people money on services that they're already using and everytime they pay their bills each month, you make a percentage off these bills every single month. Huge income opportunity. It's incredible how much money is involved in this industry.
If you'd like more information feel free to email me and I'll be happy to pass it along to you.

I also created a blog on my 360 page on home based business's. There's over half a dozen different ones to take a look at. Your more then welcome to browse through them. If you find one that's interesting, contact the person who wrote it and they can point you out in the right direction. most of these business's are under $500.

Hi,

I agree with Bizmom, the people that say 99.99% are scams are typically the ones that did not do enough research before they were scammed. They are the same ones with the 9 to 5 mindset of living paycheck to paycheck, trading their precious time for money and too afraid to take the steps needed to take control of their life.

If you will email me I will share a opportunity with you that I know will change your life and work only the hours you want to work. Due to yahoo guidelines I cannot go into much detail here, goodluck.

I get upset when people say 99% are scam. That is not true! There are so many people making money online, if they weren't google would be out of business :)

anyways...I am into affiliate marketing. If you know how to write English (English is not my first language) and little basic computer skills and are willing to work, that is one of the most popular businesses right now. There are some people who are not successful, but if you are willing to learn and work hard at it you can make money! Check it out and feel free to ask any questions.
References :
I've made a few suggestions, I hope they help you.

<"Luca Brasi was indeed a man to frighten the devil in hell himself. Short, squat, massive-skulled, his presence sent out alarm bells of danger. His face was stamped into a mask of fury. The eyes were brown but with none of the warmth of that color, more a deadly tan. The mouth was not so much cruel as lifeless; thin, rubbery and the color of veal.
This paragraph is descriptive. It physically describes Luca. Its imagery compares him to an angry demon
Brasi's reputation for violence was awesome and his devotion to Don Corleone legendary. He was, in himself, one of the great block's that supported the Don's power structure. His kind was a rarity.
Luca is an enforcer,a building block in the Don's organization.

Luca Brasi did not fear the police, he did not fear society, he did not fear God, he did not fear hell, he did not fear or love his fellow man. But he had elected, he had chosen, to fear and love Don Corleone. Ushered into the presence of the Don, the terrible Brasi held himself stiff with respect. He stuttered over the flowery congratulations he offered and his formal hope that the first grandchild would be masculine. He then handed the Don an envelope stuffed with cash as a gift for the bridal couple.

So that was what he wanted to do. Hagen noticed the change in Don Corleone, The Don received Brasi as a king greets a subject who has done him an enormous service, never familiar but with regal respect. With ever gesture, with every word, Don Corleone made it clear to Luca Brasi that he was valued. Not for one moment did he show surprise at the wedding gift being presented to him personally. He understood.
This paragraph is narrative and describes the Don as a king

The money in the envelope was sure to be more than anyone else had given. Brasi had spent many hour deciding on the sum, comparing it to what the other guests might offer. He wanted to be the most generous to show that he had the most respect, and that was why he had given his envelope to the Don personally, a gaucherie the Don overlooked in his own flowery sentence of thanks. Hagen saw Luca Brasi's face lose its mask of fury, swell with pride and pleasure. Brasi kissed the Don's hand before he went out the door that Hagen held open. Hagen prudently gave Brasi a friendly smile which the squat man acknowledged with a polite stretching of rubbery, veal-colored lips.
Those lips are gray dead meat...a lifeless smile
When the door closed Don Corleone gave a small sigh of relief. Brasi was the only man in the world who could make him nervous. The man was like a natural force, not truly subject to control. He had to be handled as gingerly as dynamite. The Don shrugged. Even dynamite could be exploded harmlessly if the need arose..."
He compares Luca to dynamite...the sigh is a sign of release of tension.. Luca has to be handled gently like TNT...more imagery.

Written from a 3rd person omniscient POV tells you what everyone is thinking or motivated by.

Luca is the sort of person who is filled with rage. At the Don's daughter's wedding, Luca comes to the Don to make his gift so the Don knows that he is making the best gift as in Luca's mind it's the appropriate thing to do even tho rightly he should give the gift to the couple. The Don needs Luca's strength and handles him with respect but is glad to accept the gift and see him go. Even Hagen is wary of Luca.

This excerpt is interesting because it shows the Don's power, the menace and manic rage of his thug and gives you a little peek at Hagen. The author creates a sinister anything could happen setting in this exce3rpt that makes you want to find out what happens next.
References :
I’ve made a few suggestions, I hope they help you.

99.999% of internet home based businesses are scams.

Your best bet to work from home is to be employed by a legitimate company who will hire you to telecommute.

One industry that supports that arrangement is insurance.

I have a small business at home as a private bookkeeper for small business. I do fairly well, but it's taken 4 years to get enough clients to allow me to do this full time. My only investment was a computer, printer, fax and software. I charge anywhere from $25 per hour up to $75 per hour depending on how extensive the books are. I also do personal tax returns. Undercut the big box competition by a few bucks, and you're on your way to a great small business. I do returns for family, friends and I get new clients each year.

Do you have any specialty skill where you could work as a consultant? It requires a lot of networking but could turn into a profitable venture.

The best home based business is based on your skills and talents, and how you can market them.
References :
Global Research is only one many companies doing the same thing.

Basically you send them money to tell how to stuff envelopes. This will include an instruction booklet.

You then put ads out in various papers for products and services of which you tell the to send a self adressed stamped envelope, along with one or dollars.

You stuff there envelope with information that may or may not be provided to you at a cost.

Job done.

It is one of the oldest scams in the book. Stay away from such ads.
References :
My wife actually sent out for one of these stuffing envelopes schemes.

Ahem ..

It would be quite unfair to get homework sorted out over the web.

What I can suggest is -

: Read the section twice and see what is going on
: During the weekend (post assignment) pick up Godfather either in the book form or on DVD and see it through. Getting to understand such a work of art takes time.

The assignment is not about a right answer but more about what is your perception of the text. So, your views and your originality is what counts. Be true to yourself and your observations would get attention.
